Snitow Kanfer Holtzer & Millus Commences Wage and Hour Suit Against Lady Gaga

Virginia Trunkes and Paul F. Millus, on behalf of plaintiff Jennifer O’Neill, have commenced a lawsuit in Federal Court against Lady Gaga’s tour management company seeking damages in connection with alleged violations by Mermaid Touring Inc. of the Fair Labor Standards Act and New York State Law.  As reported in the New York Post on December 25, 2011, as well as multiple media outlets, it is alleged that O’Neill was on duty virtually 24 hours per day and was ”required to be on hand for anything the Grammy Award-winning singer needed, at her earliest waking hour or for “spontaneous, random matters in the middle of the night”.   Based on  the firm’s analysis, Ms. O’Neill is owed in excess of $380,000 in past due wages.   See http://www.nypost.com/p/news/local/manhattan/was_gaga_slave_IyvXjE3n412CoMqKQnyS1L#ixzz1iXJcnzKJ
